THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
  • The mechanical engineer will work with external customers and internal personnel to design and manufacture projects that include ultra low temp, ultra low vacuum, optics, and electronics.
  • Consult with customers to ensure that projects are completed to their satisfaction in the quickest possible time frame.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing department.
  • Responsibilities will include design engineering, analysis, documentation, prototyping, product development, testing, and sustaining engineering.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in the industry.  
  • Experience in cryogenics and ultra low vacuum product design is a huge plus.
  • Must have extensive SolidWorks experience.
  • Understanding of how mechanisms operate in extreme cold and low vacuum environments is a plus.
  • Must have a good knowledge of materials properties and the manufacturing processes.
  • Must be an excellent communicator and team player.  This is a demanding and fulfilling work environment which requires effective communication and cooperation.
  • Candidates must exhibit uncompromising professionalism and ethics in interactions with internal staff, customers, and vendors.
