The Role You Will Play: Bilingual Quality Engineer
  • Act as single point of contact for quality
  • Lead & contribute in cross-functional team activities for QA  
  • Support, evaluate, & approve/reject/amend PPAP or internal PSO submissions for new product/component releases & changes to existing ones
  • Coordinate activities to evaluate & resolve technically-challenging engineering & quality-related problems is assigned area of responsibility
  • Investigate defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems to determine nature and scope of problem be experienced
  • Review production schedules
  • Continually improve supplier performance
  • Monitor & report on Key Performance Indicators for QA
  • Represent QA to lead periodical business/performance review by customers or suppliers
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Background Profile: Bilingual Quality Engineer
  • Must be bilingual in Japanese & English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science or Engineering field
  • 5+ years’ experience is Quality Assurance or related fields of Automotive Component Manufacturing
  • Experience with dealing with customers & suppliers is required
  • Negotiation skills & commercial awareness
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook)
  • Should have substantial experience with casting & machining of aluminum and steel alloys
  • Substantial experience with assembly, stamping, fasteners is required
  • Must be able to travel domestically & internationally
  • Having a flexible schedule is a requirement
  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of GD&T, IATF(TS)16949, ISO9001, & AIAG Core Tools (APQP, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, & SPC).
  • Ability to understand/interpret new drawings, engineering specifications, & manufacturing processes
